Base to support transformation of Dover Port
Appointment marks Base’s growing portfolio in the South East
Commercial consultancy Base Quantum, has been appointed under a Framework as a consultant to provide professional services in respect of Dover Western Docks Revival (DWDR) project and the wider Port of Dover estates maintenance and development portfolio.
The Long Term Asset Plan will ensure that Dover remains an international trade gateway throughout the 21st century.
The DWDR development is a one-off opportunity for the regeneration of Dover, bringing new investment into the area, as well as securing much needed quality employment opportunities for local people. It will also enhance national infrastructure and resilience of the Port under the existing Harbour Revision Order (HRO) for the long-term, and fit in with the wider East Kent regeneration agenda.
Danny Frost, Associate Director at Base Quantum, said:
We look forward to supporting this game changing development in Dover through our collaborative approach that focuses on continuous technical innovation. Our reputation for delivering infrastructure and consultancy services in the South East is growing and we are delighted to secure a place on this framework.”
The framework commenced in 2016 and will run for four years. Base will have the opportunity to manage a variety of projects ranging from small to significant multi-million pound projects.
