Business Continuity: Base Quantum Ltd.
In light of the much-publicised outbreak of COVID-19 and amongst global uncertainty, we wanted to touch base with our contacts to explain how we have reorganised ourselves and introduced new procedures. These measures will ensure that we are able to continue to provide the Base service to our clients whilst also ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our clients, colleagues and families.
We have identified any members of our team who are high risk or live with high-risk people and have agreed bespoke working arrangements with each of them. This may, in limited circumstances, mean a personnel change in the delivery of services, but we hope to keep this to a minimum.
More generally, we are following Government advice as far as possible. We are promoting remote working wherever practicable and have reduced the amount of unnecessary travel (particularly during peak times) that we require our staff to undertake. We will continue to undertake meetings which will, where possible, be carried out using video or phone conferencing to reduce face-to-face contact. However, we are still content to attend face-to-face meetings wherever appropriate.
We are presently manning all of our offices, including our Central London office in Aldwych, using staff that live locally. If circumstances require us to shut any of our offices then we will update accordingly.
For much of the work we do, and particularly the expert work, we recognise that it is important that the quantum expert is central to the analysis being undertaken. Thus, where appropriate, we have designed remote, collaborative working practices to mitigate the risks associated with the virus whilst ensuring that our experts remain in control of the work being performed.
We remain open for business and we are still accepting instructions.
We remain committed to supporting our clients throughout this time and are doing all we can to continue to service our clients’ needs effectively. We will be updating our website regularly and using social media to share insights and useful information, not only about COVID-19 and its impacts on projects, but also on other topical matters.
Please do contact us as normal, either by phone (020 7043 0993) or by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and please continue to stay in touch with your contacts across Base.
We hope that your teams and families remain healthy and safe during this time.
